To Install:
Run the setup.exe from the Run... menu item on the Windows '95
Start menu or from the Program Manager File menu in Windows 3.1.

If you are upgrading from a previous version, you may want to overwrite
this old version by putting the new version in the same directory.
This can be done by entering the directory name used for the previous
version during install.

Note: The default directory is "FLUKE41" in versions 1.2 and higher.

You may want to delete the existing icon for the FlukeView 41 before
you run the install program. Otherwise, you will get two icons for
FlukeView 41 after the install.

The installation process places the following files on your computer -
In the program directory:
1psample.f41
3psample.f41
FLUKE41.EXE
fluke41.hlp
fluke41.ini
readme.txt

In the Windows system directory:
cmdialog.vbx

gswdll.dll
msafinx.dll
mscomm.vbx
picclip.vbx
prntclip.dll
threed.vbx
vboa300.dll
vbrun300.dll

If any of these files are missing, the program may not run properly.

New features since v1.2:

1) A data logging feature is added to v3.0.
2) Three phase calculations are performed on the instrument readings
if you choose three phase from the Phase menu.
3) Another digit of resolution is displayed for all values in the
table view of instrument readings. This is seen on the display,
    .csv files, and printed reports.

New features in v3.1:
1) Support for COM3 and COM4 communication ports.
2) Added additional Excel logging support for latest versions (above 5.0)
3) Support for Fluke 41-AV meter.

New features in v3.2:
1) Improved installation program, including the ability to uninstall.
2) New checkbox for data logging Battery Save feature.

Notes:

1) The maximum number of windows you can open are 8 for "Instrument
Reading", 8 for "Picture" and 10 for "Sampled Data". The maximum
total number of windows is 15. However if you have other Windows
applications running at the same time, you may run out of memory
before you reach 15 windows If you have this problem, close some
    other applications and try again.

2) If you are using a low resolution (e.g. 640x480), you may not be
able to see all three lines of annotations on the "Instrument
Reading" table display. However, the annotations will be on
    the printout of the table.

3) If you are running the program in a Windows language setting other
than U.S., commas may be used as the decimal places (e.g. German).
However, the numbers on the Y-axis of the Instrument Reading and
Sampled Data graphs will still use the period for decimal places
    in this case.

4) Starting with version 3.0, the Phase Dialog Box will always show
what setting is currently "in use". You can change between single
phase and three phase calculations with this dialog box. This
setting will be used for all new Instrument Reading windows and
for data logging. Additionally, if an Instrument Reading window
is the active window when changing the phase setting, that active
window will be adjusted to reflect the new setting.

5) Before starting a logging session, be aware of what kind of phase
calculation (single or three phase) is currently in use. If three
phase calculations are active, a notation will appear in the caption
of the logging setup dialog box.

6) FlukeView 41 has a "Battery Save" option that is used to prolong the
battery life while data logging. It works by placing the instrument
in Hold mode between each data sample. This is especially useful if
a long sample interval is being used. However, there are instances
where it may be desirable to turn the Battery Save feature off. It
may cause errors if used with a very slow computer, or may generate
incorrect Peak Volts readings. If this is the case, you can turn off
Battery Save in the Logging Setup dialog box.
